Rotary Bangalore Spandana
goes green
Rotary Bangalore Spandana proudly declares Rotary Year 2026–27 as our Green Club Year — a year where service will not only touch lives, but also protect the planet. With the vision to Create Lasting Impact, we commit to lead by example through conscious choices, responsible practices, and meaningful green initiatives that inspire our members, families, schools, institutions, and communities to act for a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable tomorrow.
Our Foundation
Six pillars of a Green Club year
Every initiative, every event, every service project is guided by these six principles that define who we are in 2026–27.
Green practices
No flex banners, reusable fellowship kits, and a Green Marshal at every event.Member participation
Every member contributes one skill, one service — beyond financial giving.Impact measurement
Every project is tracked with cost, beneficiaries, hours, outcomes, and follow-up.Time discipline
10-minute meetings. Action-oriented. Decisions made, owners assigned, deadlines set.Transparency
Open ledger of service — funds, spending, balance, and commitments shared monthly.Service integrity
Work first. Photo last. Project before photo — always.

Unity in Our Imperfections
We often seek perfection in every plan, decision, and person. Yet nothing in nature is perfect—and that is what makes it beautiful. The moon inspires even when it is not full. A tree bends with the wind yet continues to give shade. A river may not flow in a straight line, but it still reaches its destination. Every flower blooms differently, yet together they make a beautiful garden. As we begin Rotary Year 2026–27, let us choose understanding over expectation and unity over differences. We may disagree, plans may need correction, and expectations may not always be met. But patience, respect, and Service Above Self must guide us.Rotary Bangalore Spandana is not built by one individual. It is strengthened by members who think differently but choose to serve together. We may not be perfect individually, but with trust, friendship, and harmony, we can create lasting impact.Let us respect our differences, strengthen our friendships, and move forward as one united Spandana family.

Rotary Bangalore Spandana Trust convened its Trust Meeting on 23 June 2026 to strengthen fundraising governance, project documentation, and Club–Trust alignment for Rotary Year 2026–27. The Trustees agreed to adopt a formal fundraising policy, introduce a standard Project Approval Note, review all ongoing projects soon, and withhold further fund releases where essential documentation is incomplete. The Board 2026–27 has also introduced a structured Google Form for fundraising and project-funding requests to ensure disciplined approvals, documentation control, project-wise tracking, and transparent accounting. All fundraising will primarily be undertaken in the name of the Trust, with partner organisations engaged only as implementation channels. Project funding will be based on approved budgets, beneficiary details, expected impact, compliance, and duly executed MoUs. For scholarships and student support, applicants will be required to submit a dedicated application with supporting documents, after which the Trust will decide assistance based on merit, need, eligibility, and availability of funds. The meeting reaffirmed the Trust’s commitment to transparency, accountability, sound governance, and sustainable community impact.
